POEM
In tender years, a battle waged,
A struggle began.
Sickle cell’s grip, a fierce embrace,
At ten, I found God,
I found Grace. Yet the storm raged on.
With trembling steps, I faced the pain,
But in His love, I did sustain.
A source of strength, Divine embrace,
God walked beside me, in every place.
Through darkest nights, He lit the way,
His gentle voice would gently say,
“Child, fear not, for I am near,
In every trial, I’ll wipe your tears.”
In weakness, I found strength untold,
For God’s great love made me bold.
He turned my wounds into a balm,
And in His arms, I found calm.
Through every ache, I learned to trust,
In God’s embrace, I felt so just.
For though I battled through the years,
His love was there, erasing fears.
And now I stand, with heart held high,
A testament to grace from above.
For in my weakness, I have found,
God’s strength and love, forever abound.
So, to those facing trials profound,
Know that in God, true strength is found.
He’ll be your rock, your guiding light,
Embrace His love, and take the flight.
For in the face of every fight,
With God as your strength, all will be right.
