Scripture
“It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
— Isaiah 65:24 (NKJV)
The Miracles That Happen Quietly
When people think of miracles, they imagine dramatic moments — sudden healings, instant transformations, or undeniable supernatural events.
But many of God’s greatest miracles in my life have been quiet ones.
Miracles that did not make headlines.
Miracles that only a heart trained in gratitude could recognize.
Living with sickle cell disease means that complications are always possible. Doctors often prepare patients for painful crises, organ complications, infections, and unpredictable health battles.
Yet when I look back on my journey, I realize something profound:
Many of the things that could have happened… never did.
There were seasons when doctors watched closely for complications that never developed.
Moments when symptoms that should have worsened simply improved.
Times when pain that should have lingered quietly disappeared.
I have learned that God does not only perform the miracles we see.
He also performs the miracles we never notice.
The illness that never progressed.
The crisis that never came.
The emergency that never happened.
Before the prayer was even fully spoken, God had already begun answering.
The prophet Isaiah captured this mystery beautifully:
“Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
Many times, God was already working behind the scenes of my life long before I realized I needed Him to intervene.
Some healings are dramatic.
Others are silent rescues.
But both are miracles.
And today I am deeply grateful not only for the healing I saw…
but also for the countless healings I never even knew I needed.
Praise Declaration
Today I praise God for the healing I saw and the healing I never even knew I needed.
