Scripture:
But the fact is, it was our pains he carried— our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us. We thought he brought it on himself, that God was punishing him for his own failures. But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. And by His stripes we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:4–5 (MSG/NKJV)
It still amazes me that Day 41 landed on Good Friday—completely unplanned, yet divinely orchestrated.
At just 10 years old, newly surrendered to Christ, I stumbled upon Isaiah 53:4–5. That moment changed everything. I saw something many overlook—Jesus didn’t only die for my sins… He carried my sickness, my weakness, everything wrong with me.
So I began to pray.
I prayed boldly.
I prayed expectantly.
But if I’m honest… it felt far-fetched.
Because reality didn’t immediately match revelation.
There were countless sickle cell crises. Nights I couldn’t explain how I survived. Moments when pain screamed louder than promise.
Yet—the Word never changed.
Now, over 40 years later, I stand as living evidence:
God was never late.
Every delay was not denial—it was divine preservation, divine timing, divine purpose unfolding.
The cross was not a moment in history.
It is a present reality I still draw from.
🙌 Praise Declaration:
Today, I thank God for going all the way to Calvary to set me free—from sin, sickness, weakness, and everything that tried to define me.
✍️ Pain2Gain Reflection:
Delay is not denial—it’s divine preparation.
