When Grief Entered Our Home

Today’s story is one of the most emotional for me to write.

But I share it anyway because someone reading this needs to know that loss is not the end of the road.

God is a Master Storyteller.

When life seems shattered beyond repair, He still has the power to rewrite the story

Losing Our Daughter

In my previous reflections (Days 13 and 14), I shared about the miracle of giving birth to our three beautiful children. But life took a painful turn when we lost our youngest child—just three weeks before her fourth birthday after a brief illness.

The grief was overwhelming.

Our hearts were shattered.

Our home felt painfully quiet.

The future we imagined suddenly changed.

It was one of the deepest valleys we had ever walked through.

How God Walked With Us Through Grief

But God…

He did not leave us there.

Slowly, gently, He walked us through the valley of grief. Through His presence, the unbearable pain began to soften. Through His grace, we found strength to take one day at a time.

The loss did not disappear, but God carried us through it.

He helped us rise again, not by erasing the memory, but by healing our hearts enough to continue our purpose

Christian encouragement for grief – God heals the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18

Finding Hope After Loss

Today I want someone reading this to know:

Your grief is real.

Your pain matters.

But your story is not over.

God can ease the pain of loss.

He can restore a broken heart.

And He can give you the grace to keep moving forward into the purpose He still has for your life.

If you let Him, He will hold your heart together until you are strong enough to walk again.

And even in the valley, there is still a reason to praise.

Praise Declaration

Today I bring my heart to God.

He restores my broken heart and heals my wounds.

Thank You, Lord, because You are close to me even in loss. And because of You, I am never alone.

Bible Verse for the Brokenhearted

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” — Psalm 34:18 (NLT)

A Prayer for the Brokenhearted

If you or someone you love is walking through grief, I pray this testimony reminds you that God is near to the brokenhearted and able to restore hope.

Pain2Gain Reflection:

Sometimes the deepest pain becomes the soil where God grows the strongest faith. Even in loss, His grace can turn pain into purpose.
